Please join us for an evening of discussion with a living legend – Mr. Dave Haynie. His career at Commodore began in 1983 as an engineer under Bil Herd. He was later promoted to chief engineer, and stayed with Commodore until the very end in 1994. Along the way, he worked on numerous Commodore projects including:

– TED systems – e.g. Plus/4, C16, etc.
– Amiga 2000
– A2620 CPU module
– A2630 CPU module
– Zorro III expansion bus
– Amiga 3000
– AGA chipset
– AAA chipset (Advanced Amiga Architecture)

TPUG is pleased to reconnect you with one of the most intriguing entrepreneurs of the mid-1980’s home computing era. Brian Dougherty was the founder of Berkeley Softworks, the company that developed the GEOS graphical operating system for the Commodore 64, the C128, the Plus/4, and the Apple II series of computers. In addition to GEOS, the company also released complementary software and hardware such as geoPublish and geoRAM. GEOS and its ecosystem of products granted 8-bit computers the type of functionality previously only seen on more powerful computers, an ambitious feat that continues to be admired by retrocomputing fans worldwide.

We are excited to host Jeri Ellsworth interviewed by Nico 64 on November 16. An American entrepreneur, computer chip designer and inventor. She gained fame in 2004 for creating a complete Commodore 64 emulator system on a chip housed within a joystick, called Commodore 30-in-1 Direct to TV.
