Hi everyone,
I am looking to pick up either a VIC-20 or a Commodore 128 system. That would be the computer, a disk drive, and a monitor with either one.
I know - talk about opposite ends of the spectrum! Well, the VIC-20 was my first computer, and I used to have one with the monochrome logo (i.e.: not the rainbow logo) and a white 1541 disk drive plus a 1701 monitor that I painted white to match. But alas, I sold that about 15 years ago - a move I regret to this day.
Alternatively, I've never owned a 128. I have used one plenty when I was a teenager in the 80's however. So I'd be interested in one with the 1571 disk drive and a monitor capable of displaying the 80 column video mode (as well as doing the 40 column C/G mode).
Anyone have one of these kicking around? If so, let me know and we can see if we can arrive at a price.
Thank you!
Rick in Barrie
PS: I can drive to Toronto if needed!

Like the previous poster, join the Toronto CBM mailing list if you haven't already and ask there. There is a considerably larger audience there.
